Tissue Density

Over many years of study, practice, and concentrated observation, I have come to understand that body pain is directly associated with the density of the affected tissues. Whether the increase in density is due to acute trauma, overuse, or congestion, the tissue involved is palpably more dense than that of it's surroundings.

Left untreated, the condensation of the affected tissue progresses from tightness to firmness, hardness, and eventual contraction. Throughout the process, circulation is disrupted, nerves become engulfed and trapped, resulting in sensations which can range from feelings of tiredness, tightness, discomfort, to outright pain.

It can take decades for the more unpleasant results of elevated TD to develop. Pain and stiffness we so often accept as a normal part of the aging process can be avoided, reduced, even removed altogether. TDR Massage is an appropriate and effective treatment for elevated TD disorders.
